Single Serve of Sequins

Oops! I accidently (yet happily) stumbled across a beautiful garment that I fell in love with today. Casually browsing through Sportsgirl, innocently looking for simple black tights I might add, I caught sight of it.. an amazing sequinned patchwork style blazer.
My size?? You betcha.
It was fate. Straight away I knew she would be mine. I could hear the groans coming from my bank account as I lifted the hanger off the rack. My friend was ooing and ahhing at the beauty of it and said I absolutely HAD to buy it. She likened the style to Gossip Girl and I totally agree. Serena has killed it in a few sequin blazers over the seasons.
I consider myself a bit of a bowerbird.. anything bright, colourful or sparkly and I'm instantly attracted. This blazer fits those qualities perfectly. If I really was a bowerbird, I would proudly display my new purchase with my impressive collection of stones, coins, shells, flowers and sticks in order to attract the best mate.

Nursery Rhymes

I am seriously l.o.v.i.n.g the blog JAK & JIL!! It's so chic, so interesting and captures great spontaneous moments of the fashion elite as well as everyday fashion savvy peeps. It's great to see lots of stylish boys in this blog to.
Now I have a serious allergy to open-toed shoes with stockings. Even typing the words makes my skin itchy and rises the blood pressure a little. But seeing the look pulled off successfully in JAK & JIL (and with the help of Balenciaga heels I might add) makes me wanna try it out myself.. maybe.. one day.
Looks like it was well worth that trek up the hill to fetch the pale of water if this blog was the end result. Shame about the broken crown and poor Jil tumbling down though..

Wednesday Schmensday

Midweek is here and I'm already longing for the weekend. Although today was a more special day then other Wednesday's...
Happy Harmony Day everyone!!
I hope everyone felt the love somehow today. The first thought that popped into my head when thinking of Harmony Day is the 'Free Hugs' guy. What a great idea that soon became infectious and the whole world got involved. If everyone could be that thoughtful and kind to each other, the world would be a more harmonious place.
Just like Paul McCartney wrote: if Ebony and Ivory can live together in perfect harmony then why can't the rest of us? Love and acceptance of each other is so important and makes life more beautiful.
