All Hallows Eve

Halloween is the time of year when I realise how much I miss being a little kid. Playing dress-ups and overdosing on lollies and chocolate never looked so appealing. Although I'm a little old to go trick-or-treating these days, it's still fun seeing all the local kids so excited.

I love the history behind the holiday as well. It's origins date back to the Celtic festical of Samhain, which was the most important of the four quarter days in the medieval Irish calender. It was a time for stock-taking and preparing for the cold Winter months ahead. There was always a sense that this was the time of year when the physical and supernatural worlds were closest and magical things could happen... spooky!

Love for my Love Mug

Ok so I admit to having a weird obsession with a certain mug. It's my Love Mug to be exact. It has no real significance to warrant this obsession, but none the less I have used it every single day for years and years and refuse to get a new mug or move onto drinking out of a glass like everyone else. I drink everything out of my Love Mug - water, tea, soft drink, juice, cordial, chlorophyll... I swear if I could take it with me to work, friends places or to a night on the town I would! What I love about it most is the hippy writing and fun colours.. who wouldn't feel loved with a mug like mine?

So who is indie and who is mindie?

Well the best thing about being born in early June (apart from being 6 months before/after Christmas) is that it automatically makes you a Gemini - and therefore splits your personality into two distinct sides.

indie represents the fun-loving, crazy side of me. She jumps first and thinks later, preferring to be spontaneous and live in the moment rather than being ordinary. Loving fashion, style, dj-ing, dancing, celebrities, models and all things cool, indie doesn't shut up and loves to laugh..

mindie, on the other hand,  is more reserved and considerate. She has a keen interest in travel, health, nutrition, photography and the environment and loves to curl up in her pjs with a good book and a green tea. mindie is a dreamer who loves meeting inspiring people..
