Half Full

I'm practising some gratitude today thanks to my dear friend Lisa who is an absolute pleasure to work with and sees the good in just about any situation. She has been writing 3 positive things about each day which I think is such a lovely way to conduct yourself and look at life. No matter how down you may be feeling or how crap your day is, there's always somebody else out there who's far worse off. It's important to focus on the positives and not let the negatives dwell for too long.

Happiness starts from within, nothing or nobody can create this happiness for you. Changing your thinking to focus on the positives as opposed to the negatives does wonderful things for your health and well-being. This happiness is then projected from you and is infectious for those around you. Lisa is certainly one of these people so I'm very lucky to work with her.

Three things that I am grateful for today are:

1. No ticket line at the train station so I was able to catch my train (woohoo!)
2. Enjoyed a simple but delicious lunch of peanut butter and honey toast
3. Only two more sleeps until I see my family in Perth who I miss terribly

Try thinking of some things to be grateful for each day. You'd be surprised at how much lighter you'll feel when you look on the bright side of life and remember that the glass is always half full.
