Last day of June today. Still can't believe how quick this year is flying by!!

Sometimes

I try to keep up to date with the latest ad campaigns for fashion houses as well as fresh editorial from around the world. Not before I have to, because it really interests me and I love feeling inspired and momentarily transported to another world when I see something beautiful.

Sometimes I see a particular image or campaign that literally takes my breath away.. 

This happened when I saw images from the Louis Vuitton AW12/13 campaign 

where it's all aboard the Louis Vuitton Express.

Wow wow wow I don't even know where to start?! I love everything about these images - the clothes, the accessories, the models, the opulence, the styling, the glamour, the 'spontaneous' positioning, the sepia tone... I could go on and on. I feel like photographer Steven Meisel has captured the most exquisite train ride ever travelled.

Big props go to the always incredible Marc Jacobs who continues to produce amazing and awe-inspiring campaigns to showcase beautiful product. I know I'll be straight on that express train heading for the LV store when the new range arrives. Toot toot!

My(er) Apologies

Been a bad blogger lately. Sorry for the lack of posts! Been a little preoccupied starting a new position at Myer which is exciting/overwhelming. Lots to learn and heaps of new faces to become familiar with but it's a great opportunity with a great company. 

Working in the heart of the city is so much fun! The hustle and bustle is something I thrive on and you meet some interesting characters along the way. Working with amazing product is also a big plus of this new role. The beautiful garments and brands are a constant source of inspiration and I find myself spending my wage in my head before it hits my bank account!

I'm really excited to welcome next seasons ranges into store soon. Thanks to instagram (love that app) I got to see a sneak peak of the new season delights via Jen Hawkins and Jess Hart who flew to South Africa to shoot the latest ranges, along with some gorgeous extras..

Day Off

Lucky for me I have a day off today. Getting a few things done before starting a new job next week. Nervous but excited at the same time! They say a change is as good as a holiday... given the option I'd probably choose a holiday but I do enjoy a change. It's important to mix things up and challenge ourselves when an opportunity arises. Everything happens for a reason.

This morning we heard the great news that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen won the Womenswear Designer of the Year award at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. This is a massive achievement for the hugely successful twins as it was their first time nominated and they were up against some fierce competition. Big ups to the girls who, at only 25, seem to be getting closer and closer to total world domination. Love it!
