It's that time of year again... 

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!

An event where the worlds most stylish come out to play and the rest of us mere mortals are left swooning over our laptops. I've been keeping up with the street style snaps and here are some of my favs. Stay tuned for more because the week isn't over yet!

PS. I'm so obsessed with the beautiful Miroslava Duma who was an editor of Harper's Bazaar Russia and now freelances for numerous publications. Her style is out of control! So cute, so fabulous, so girly. I can't wait to see her next looks for NYFW.

Forget The World

For the past few days I haven't been able to get the song 'Forget The World' by Faydee out of my head! Luckily I actually really like it and I admit to listening to it on repeat as I'm typing this.. 

(Shame about the fist-pumping in the video though. Jersey Shore eat your heart out).

At least this tune helps put me in a good mood because the past week marks 2 years since I was in Europe. Right now 2 years ago I was at Monte Carlo casino after spending the most amazing day at the beach in Nice... depressing much.

I think South America is the next destination on the agenda. Rio Carnivale is on my bucket list so I'd love to tick that one off! I'm imagining shaking my non-South American booty in a sparkly, sequin outfit on top of a float in the carnival. And of course 'Forget The World' would be playing in my dream since I can't get it out of my head! What a fantastic story for the grandkids if it was to come true.. 

Anyway, enough day dreaming.

Star Gazing

For anyone who enjoys people watching as much as I do, The Star provides some fantastic entertainment on a Saturday night. My best friend and I went there last night for a drink/gamble/girly catchup which is always fun. But boy was there some interesting fashions to be seen and some strange behaviour going on!

Perusing the latest blog posts from my favourites is a breath of fresh air after having nightmares about a group of friends I saw last night who all wore black high-waist spandex as pants. And no, they weren't moonlighting as superheroes.. they legitimately thought they were killing it in the style stakes. 

Where are Trinny and Susannah when you need them??

One girl even threw on a thin red belt with them, you know, just to secure the skin tight, unforgiving, shiny leggings even more!! Awful awful stuff, but I guess everyone has a different view of what constitutes great style. If everyone dressed the same the world would be incredibly dull and I wouldn't have been nearly as entertained as I was last night!

Tis The Season

It's come to my attention that this year seems to be the time to either

a) get married

or

b) get engaged

Something in the water??.. who knows.

But what I do know is that my friend Clarita falls into the 'b' category and recently got engaged! So naturally we've been discussing potential dresses, decor, themes etc for her big day. 

I decided to put together some images of wedding dresses (plus Gucci and Chanel wedding shoes) to give her some inspiration. I think something beautiful and classic would be perfect to match her stunning personality.
