Diddly Dee Potatoes

March 17th is one of those special days that brings people together via drinking, being merry and saying 'top o' the mornin' to ya' at any time of the day.

I'm yet to visit Ireland but I'm so intrigued by the beauty of the countryside and the quirky little superstitions they have there. It seems like a magical holiday destination and I can imagine getting lost in the fairytale of castles, leprechauns, rainbows and gold.

Speaking of superstitions, I found a 6-leaf clover back in primary school and to this day I have it framed on my desk. Now I'm not sure if it means anything, but it's always been special to me and I like to think it brings me good luck.

Chanel-ing Spring

Chanel has recently released three absolutely beautiful nail polish colours for the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection and I for one am really excited about it! Cutely named April, May and June, these colours were inspired by the changing moods and colours of Spring. Chanel's Global Director for Makeup Peter Philips, who created the three Le Vernis shades as a homage to the mischievous spirit of the most changeable of season, named them after the months of Spring. They also featured on the runway in the aquatic themed Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 spectacular last October.

Now I'm a big sucker for nail polish. My collection is bursting but I'm always on the look out for new colours that catch my attention. This happened the other week when I spotted pretty May perched perfectly on the nails of the Chanel beauty assistant at DJ's. Upon spotting her I knew May and I were meant to be very good friends. Her lovely pink tone is reminiscent of pink lilys, fairy floss, pink lemonade and strawberry cupcakes. It makes me happy just looking at my freshly painted nails!

April is a rich red, almost cranberry tone that makes me think of berry sorbet, gorgeous roses and cosmopolitans.

June, on the other hand, reminds me of sweet apricot fruit bars, frosty fruit ice blocks and orange tulips. As June is my birth month, I think she will be my next purchase...

Euphoria

I am seriously in love with Calvin Klein advertisements. Old or new, it doesn't matter. I regularly update the screen saver on my phone with whatever picture is my favourite at the time. At the moment I have the Spring/Summer Collection 2012 campaign picture featuring the amazing Lara Stone. 

I'm crazy about the old school combo of Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg, but I have to say that Eva Mendes gets my vote as the best Calvin Klein model of all. She is absolutely on fire!!

Every campaign image has a super sexy, provocative feel to it. Love them or hate them, they certainly get a lot of attention and get people talking. Isn't that the epitome of a successful marketing strategy??
